Jeargian Decangchon,
PT, DPT
Jeargian Decangchon graduated from the University of the Philippines-Manila and obtained her Clinical Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Utica College.
She has built her passion around children with special needs for the last 15 years with certifications in Aquatic Therapy, Watsu (Water Shiatsu), TheraSuit Intensive Exercise Program, and more recently a Certification as a Level A DMI practitioner.
Jeargian dedicates her time between Kinetic and at a Manhattan school for children & adolescents with brain-based disorders.
Gloria Perez, PT
Gloria Perez is an accomplished New York-based Pediatric Physical Therapist with more than 27 years’ experience in pediatric rehabilitation from age infant to 21 years old and 10 years’ experience in adult outpatient setting in rehabilitation of neurological, sports and orthopedic conditions.
Gloria possesses strong background in sensory integration. She has 11 years supervisory experience in a pre-school setting and has worked in a variety of settings like schools, therapy clinics and sensory gyms. Gloria continues to refine her skills by pursuing well-rounded continuous education across many disciplines, allowing her to incorporate yoga, dance and music into her programs. Gloria taps into the kids’ interest in her daily treatment routines to achieve the child’s cooperation and level of confidence in achieving their goal. Gloria’s approach to working with her patient is one characterized by compassion, understanding, professionalism and care. Care and kindness that stem from a personal experience – her youngest sister was born with Down’s syndrome. Gloria observed the challenges children with developmental delays go through, as well as their families so she has dedicated her life and passion in helping kids reach their highest potential. Gloria devotes her time to her family, daughter, work at a pre school in Queens and Kinetic PT OT.
Maryann Patricia Ijares, OTR/L
Patricia Ijares is a NY-based Occupational Therapist who has developed her vocation around children with special needs. She has been working as a Pediatric Occupational Therapist for the past 7 years.
She worked as a school based and pediatric home health Occupational Therapist in the state of California for 3 years before moving to New York in 2016. Patricia has a broad background in Sensory Integration and has worked in various settings such as pre-schools and sensory gyms. She is certified in Early Intervention and has worked with children ages 0-2 years in home and pediatric clinics. Patricia’s client centered approach puts emphasis on each kid’s interest when planning and implementing her treatment goals. Patricia currently works in a pre-school in Astoria, Queens and divides her time between Kinetic PT OT and her other passions such as yoga and hiking.
