Meet our Resident Art Teacher

Hannah Koelbl Lamar

My name is Hannah, I am an artist, and a mother of two young children. I have taught art and craft classes of all sorts for children of many ages and ability levels. As an undergraduate I studied fine arts with emphasis in mixed media, and I have experience with pottery, jewelry making, puppetry, fiber arts embroidery, drawing, and painting.

Since the birth of my eldest son, I have been doing a lot of embroidery and “painting with thread” because if it so portable and I can be done in little bits of time! When I am not making art or working with children I am likely to be spending time with my family and our dog Steve, running, hiking, cooking and daydreaming. I believe that we are all born creative beings, and I absolutely love providing kids with an opportunity to explore that part of themselves.
