
COVID-19 Protocols and Procedures
We are happy to announce that the Kinetic PT OT Staff have received their COVID 19 vaccines!
We continue to implement our COVID-19 safety procedures and protocols.
You will expect the following during each visit and session:
A health screening/questionnaire is obtained prior to each session through email.
Temperature checks are obtained.
Face masks, face shields, gowns, gloves, and other personal protective equipment are being utilized by staff, children, and visitors. Air purifiers are utilized with HEPA filters and windows opened to improve air ventilation and circulation. The number of people and traffic are being minimized.
We follow CDC guidelines and recommendations for quarantine protocols. We encourage that all parents and caregivers to report any illness prior to sessions so that appropriate judgment on cancellations can be made.
Kinetic PT, OT, PLLC Protocol for COVID-19
As soon as the therapist enters Kinetic PT OT therapy clinic, he or she will self-check his/her temperature. The therapist will wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds then wears face shields and face masks.
The therapist’s personal belongings are placed in designated areas.
Face masks need to be worn at all times. NO MASK. NO ADMITTANCE TO KINETIC PT OT.
No sharing of phones, desks, tables, work tools, computers, writing tools.
A health screening questionnaire form is emailed to all parents and therapists scheduled to come on the day of the therapy appointment.
When the child arrives for his/her therapy, a table by the entrance door will be designated for pre-screening. The therapist will check the child’s temperature. No one will be admitted inside Kinetic PT OT with a temperature higher than 99 F
After the child is cleared, parents/caregivers will be asked to wait outside. NO ONE IS ALLOWED TO STAY IN THE WAITING ROOM due to our adherence to limiting the number of people inside the gym at all times.
The therapist then escorts the child to the bathroom to wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds before starting the therapy session.
The therapist will practice universal precautions at all times.
The therapist will use cleaners and disinfectants during the treatment session to clean areas contaminated with bodily secretions such as saliva, sneeze or mucus
The therapist will wash hands or use sanitizer periodically during the treatment session or instances of soiled hands.
After the session ends, the therapist will take the child to the bathroom to wash hands with soap and water for 20 seconds and be escorted back to the parents/caregivers waiting outside.
Feedback of therapy session to parents are limited and discussions are encouraged through phone call and email. This is also to protect the children’s privacy.
At the end of each treatment session, the therapist will disinfect all treatment space used, mats, therapy equipment, therapy tools, etc,
